Born in 1957, I have  spent most of my life working and living on Merseyside. In 2014, after  being made redundant, I took the decision to return to college to pursue a long standing interest in art, in 2018, I graduated from the University of Chester with a BA in Fine Art.

Primarily employing anonymous amateur photographs as the basis of my paintings, I  explore the affinity between image and memory. 
Through the considered practice of painting I endeavour to invests these incidental snapshots with a particular affective quality, evoking recollections of a nostalgia-saturated past.
